What to check before travelling with your pet: a final checklist
Once the main procedures are done, plenty of small things remain. Here’s what’s worth double-checking before you leave so there are no surprises on the way.
The South Caucasus is a popular choice for relocation or long trips with pets. The rules in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan differ, so preparation should be tailored to your specific destination country.
As a rule, bringing a cat or dog into the countries of the region requires proof of rabies vaccination and a veterinary certificate. Requirements for the microchip, vaccination timing and additional tests may vary depending on the country of entry.
Many people travel around the region by car, which means crossing several land borders. We do the microchip, vaccinations and certificate in one place — so that you can leave at short notice.
Requirements depend on the destination country, the type of animal and the travel date. Please check transport conditions with your airline or transport company.
As a rule, we first confirm which country in the Caucasus you’re going to and when, and which documents your pet already has.
A valid rabies vaccination is often required; in many cases a microchip is also recommended or mandatory.
Before departure you need a veterinary certificate — we issue it ourselves.
We cross-check the microchip number, vaccination dates and certificate entries, then hand the documents over to you.
Leave your details — a specialist will get in touch, give you the price and timeline, and then take care of the documents for you.
